meet blaine + Lori bartel
Blaine and Lori have been working together to help men and marriages encounter the resurrection of Christ for more than a decade.
Blaine is a sexual addiction specialist who has helped hundreds of men find lasting freedom from pornography and sexual brokenness. He is also a best-selling author and frequent speaker at conferences and churches nationwide.
Lori has served in the field of dentistry for two decades and assists Blaine in their work with married couples recovering from infidelity.
Their work at House of Resurrection is rooted in Blaine's 20-plus-year addiction to pornography and sexual vice.
Not long after this colossal crash fifteen years ago, he was driving from Kansas City to Tulsa and heard a whisper in his heart.
“I’m not going to give you a recovery. I am calling you into resurrection.”
In the years to follow, Blaine experienced a dramatic transformation in every part of his life. The old Blaine Bartel fully died. A new man rose from the ashes.
Out of this life-altering journey, Blaine and Lori developed the Katharos Model, which incorporates The Jesus Pathway to Purity.
Blaine and Lori have four grown children and two beloved grandchildren. They enjoy anything that includes water, beaches, and boats.

It was born out of a vision to provide expert and affordable therapy for those in the church who struggle silently with the shame and hopelessness of sexual brokenness and addiction.
Our therapy is rooted in Christ’s teachings on heart purity, and human flourishing — and is reinforced by addiction neuroscience.
